Cessna A185F Skywagon, N185, accident occurred on August 8, 2026, at Smoke Creek Desert near Reno, Nevada

- History of Flight:
On August 8, 2026, at about 1000 local time, a Cessna A185F Skywagon, N185, registered to JCL Corp, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at the at the Smoke Creek Desert near Reno, Nevada. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The training flight originated from one of the airports in Reno, Nevada, at an unknown time.

The FAA reported: "Aircraft on landing, pilot lost control and attempted a go-around but the right main gear separated incurring a prop strike and ground looped."

The NTSB is investigating as a class 4 case.
