- History of Flight:
On August 10, 2026, at about 2129 local time, a Cessna 172R Skyhawk, N9485Z, registered to, and being operated by the ATP Flight School, sustained unknown damage when it was involved in an incident at Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA/KIWA), Phoenix, Arizona. The pilot was not injured. The local training flight originated from the airport.
The FAA reported that the airplane landed and while exiting the runway struck a taxiway light. ADS-B data shows that the airplane was conducting touch-and-go(es) on runway 12L and at the end of the track it exited the right side of the runway. The airplane continued normal operations the following day.
