On July 19, 2026 about 1440 Alaska standard time, a DeHavilland DHC-2 airplane, N791PW was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Nondalton, Alaska. The pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 business flight.
The pilot reported that he conducted a normal landing on a remote airstrip, and after touching down he applied the brakes, but the right brake did not respond. The airplane veered to the left, the pilot attempted to correct the left drift by adding additional right brake; the brake did not respond. The airplane ground looped and departed the runway which resulted in substantial damage to the right wing and right elevator.
