- History of Flight:
On May 11, 2026, at about 1200 local time, a privately-registered Van's RV-6, N333PK, sustained substantial damage when it hit a soft spot and nosed over on landing roll at Moose Creek USFS Airport (1U1), Moose Creek Ranger Station, Idaho. The pilot was not injured.
The airport features two turf runways 1/19 and 4/22. FAA remarks state
- "Rys 01/19 & 04/22 may not be mowed to full width."
- "Ry 01/19 muddy spring & winter. Use ry 04/22 early spring & late fall/winter when psbl due to better drainage & firmer SFC. Rys subject to temp closures."
